I spent six months in Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, India, from October 27, 2004 until April 26, 2005. As a Carnatic music student of over 14 years, I've decided to go to the heart of the tradition itself to soak in the culture and understand what Carnatic music is really about. Along the way I've recorded my thoughts in a journal. All entries are completely uncensored and I provide no disclaimer. They talk about my travel and musical experiences equally.
